And just like the warm summer air,
she is also long gone.
But she's much different than the season's that come to pass, I could've kept her from leaving.

I could've kept my word, I could've told the truth when sticking to my word was so much harder than I predicted, I could've taken the necessary steps to show her that I'm changing, I could've been a good role model to her son who craved a little guidance.
I could've kept this all to myself.
I could've, sure.
But that never seems to help.
