A Howl At Night
Deep in the forest
Especially on fullmoon nights,
Howls would fill the air
Cutting through the still night.
Laying in bed
With eyes closed tight,
Shivering and shaking
And full of fright.
I crept close to my mother
Holding her tight.
Looking at me with loving eyes,
She whispered, “ Child it's all right ”
Clutching her dress
With all my might
I layed in her embrace
Through the night.
Now I live in the city
Loud and bright,
With no wolves
To howl at night.
I think I miss them now,
Cause they gave me the chance
To hug mother tight.
