The Auction
Yesterday I went to an auction
I was invited along by a friend
I went there with an open mind
If I bid on anything at all that really would depend
If something really caught my eye
But that was quite unlikely as I'm a minimalistic guy.
I met my friend who was with a friend who was waiting for her Mum to show as the lots all drifted by
When this lady approached our table and sitting down opposite me, she had really caught my eye
Introductions all round we started to chat and the chemistry starting to blend
The auction lots had all dried up and suddenly came to an unwanted end
Everyone brought something except for me
But I walked away with a beautiful lot new friendships made for free
Will I drift back to the auction I think almost yes definitely.
