THERE'S A QUIET REVOLUTION RESTING INSIDE HER
No!
I'm not like any feminist
you have ever met.
Neither I'm so fond of
cribbing or blustering.
How can I be so?
Myself being a flower
growing on a concrete.
Quietly bearing all the hails and sleet.
Have to think thousand
times before I speak.
Might be a wee step for a woman but a huge womankind's leap.

A woman,
a dupe of stereotypical norms.
She rules her life,
ironically itself a litany of rules!
Neither short nor too tight,
don't get late or stroll at night.
Be a refined girl,a prodigy.
Be a cultured daughter,an idealistic lady.
Be a responsible wife and
an affectionate mother.

Yet with all the clenched desires,
once again,she dares to dare.
Unable to unfasten the infinite shackles,
she carries them as her medals.
And,
little did I know
there's a quiet revolution resting inside her.
