In your eyes, I can see those hidden desires
Staring deeply to witness that flaming fire
In this story, you're your own hero
So it'll be your debasement, if fame is what you aspire
A good attitude and a healthy ego
Is exactly what you'd require
But who's the man in the mirror?
You know the truth, so certainly not a liar
Write your own story with real vigour
And keep soaring higher and higher

Come a little closer to this window pane
And take a look into these eyes again
I know they've seen so much pain
But they've also seen others gone through much more bane
I see beyond your disguise
I know of those things that you feigned
And your emotions, when you get criticized
But don't let anyone call you what you ain't

Who I'm looking at in the mirror is a talented soul
There's so much in him that's yet to be unrolled
There's time for everything
Since God himself is in control
In his plans, I'm absolutely acquiescing
So when I look in the mirror, I see myself
And God made me, which means I can never reduce myself
