AFRICA
I don't know about the other continents
As I don't one planet from another,
But kindly let me describe Africa,
Because I know her,
Almost by heart.
They say in my village,
That if you fear someone intends to steal your cowries while you sleep,
Give it to him beforehand for keepsake,
Such that his hands are as bound as his wicked intentions.
And behold,
I give to you beautiful Amadok,
A lady as deep as the depths,
And with intricacies wider like the shoulder blades of Olympus!
Were I a blacksmith,
If told to describe Africa and black,
In my art,
Oh I will weld iron gentlemen,
And from it's boiling broth,
Fish out a metal finer than the ivory of the Amazon black jaguar.
Washed in tears,
And whetted in a stone of granite.
Were I an Archer,
If given a quiver full of squill- lased arrows,
And forced to describe Africa,
I will strike patterns on the target,
And with remarkable accuracy,
Write the words,
"Motherland".
On the chocolate wood surfaces.
So were you were to describe Africa,
Dear tourists,
Feel it kindly in your words,
Gentlemen,ladies,
To add the term "legit" in your context,
And "True" in your sundowner speeches.
