BY THE BEAUTIFUL BEACH
I stopped by a deserted but once a beautiful beach
Sure enough to encounter, at last, some peace
And that my solitude and that of the lonely beach would marry
Found I a spot to sit but with least hurry
A long bare field, before me laid, of seedy sand
Marked with fainting footprints, small and large
Rigorous waves were in endless creepy runs
It was evident that a strong wind was in work
An old pop song ran to my mind
The only true company my soul could find
I closed my inner rooms the last door being my eyes
Got up in sunset, found out I'd wedded sleep in style!
With earphones on, the sole pop song in looping mode, see, I sweetly smiled!
