When a girl is around 7-8 yrs, forcefully her genitals are either tied or some of its part including clit and labia minora are incised. Even in few cases, it is performed when a girl is in her early teens. The reasons behind this practice are so called & related to hygiene or other factors. Many believe that it is necessary cos, it reduces a girl's sexual desires and she remains virgin till she is married.
