My Only True Friend
I'm not a lover, nor a fighter.
I've had more burns than a cigarette lighter.

I won't give in, nor give out.
I'll go around & find another route.

But, don't dare
trap me in a corner,
Your mama just might
become an early mourner.

Looking down, but not giving up, I trust no one, but my pup.

Everyone seems to be a fraud,
But dog spelled backward,
coincidentally, is God.

Whether showing teeth or wagging tail,
No fake shit,
trying to make their sale.

They straight up let you know where you stand,
Unlike people, stealing your fingers while shaking your hand.

Beware the 2 legged dog in sheep's coat.
His black heart drips creosote.

I'm not lonely, nor even alone.
I know love; my heart's not completely stone.

But the older I get
the less I care.
My heart has shrunk;
with lots less room in there.

Now, I'm careful who I let fill it,
No creep's coming in to kill it.

I keep to myself & live
back in the woods.
Only dealing with people
when I need some goods.

Ya, I'm one of societies outcast,
so most of you can just
go ahead & kiss my...
DOG!
(Because she loves those who need it most!)
