There is a place in my mind all dark and gloomy.
And I always thought why it isn't all bright and dreamy?
It gives me the chills;
that I never experienced as I am climbing up the hills.
It is like a void that nobody could fill.
And then in my life came those pills.
Who brought me in a fantasy world.
They gave me strength to bear all the traumas and the pain.
I never thought those little pills had the power to change my life.
But then it came all crashing down the hills.
They made me delusional;
And everywhere I looked I saw daffodils.
Everyone thought I was fantasizing but those pills kept me enticing.
Time flew by quickly.
I saw my loved ones gathered around;
All the faces that used to wear a smile,
Were now looking at the ground with dejection.
And there laid my lifeless body dressed in black amongst the daffodils.
Tears of regret came through their eyes.
Amidst all the grief, it started drizzling;
The tiny droplets of water fell on my cheeks.
It seemed that even the sky was sorry about their loss.
They buried me under the moist earth;
Caressing my lifeless body for the last time.
I stood there watching amidst the light drizzle which then started pouring heavily.
All started leaving one by one with immense pain in their hearts.
I sat there all night long besides the tombstone.
And I saw gleaming white light amidst this darkness.
The next thing I knew I was standing right in the paradise.
