The days were unending as were the nights,
She waited and waited and waited,
But there seemed no hope in sight.
So many nights she lies awake,
The tears she shed like heavy rain coming down,
She wants to smile but can only frown.
There is one thing about her you see,
She never loses hope.
For she thinks one day this pain will flee.
Like a dream, She can wake up from any moment,
but she waits patiently and endures the pain.
In hopes that she will smile again.
