We are so much more
than a ill-fated interlude,
between two stormy clouds.
Behind the scenes,
I believe we harmonise.
No deterioration into demise
will happen on my watch.
We have been through worse.

There must be some sort
of misunderstanding.
I'm constantly waiting for
your witty repartee.
The sanctions you place on us
won't hold me down.

For us to part,
it would be
the end of an era.
I know it's not what you want.
There is a flawless visible horizon
to stroll without need for haste.
