COST OF LIVING VERSUS COST OF LIFE
We say, money cannot pay for life, money cannot buy life, life is worth than money, etc. But I know that you know you do be dead by now without money. I am not talking about having billions of dollars in your account, I am talking about the money to pay for your daily necessities. How many of you will survive a day, week or month without food? Let us not even talk about expensive food in luxury restaurants. The local cheap food around doesn't go for free.
What about Medicare? Do you know how many have died because they had no money to buy drugs for little things like headache, malaria, pain and fever?
What about clothing? If you cannot afford Gucci, Versace, armani and other brands, and still can't afford the cheap clothes around, you do be going naked like a mad man.
What about accommodation? You become homeless and destitute if you can't afford a home.
Now, welfare and other miscellaneous expenses you run on daily basis, is part of the list. With total reverence to God, the money you spend daily , weekly or monthly for food, clothes, medicare, accommodation, etc, might just be the cost of life. You don't just pray to live, you pay to live. Never try to underestimate the importance of money. There is a magazine call, FINANCIAL TIMES. I love this publication, for truly we live in financial times.
So, no amount can pay for life but without sounding like an economist, I must tell you that you pay to live everyday. If you are not earning nor spending, you are dead. So learn to respect and value money no matter how small. If you think any mount of money is small, try taking somebody's one dollar and see if you won't be called a thief
This is the reason why in any nation where the cost of living is high, people suffer and many die of hunger and diseases. If your standard of living is low, but you can afford cheap food, clothes and accommodation, thank the lord.
Money is not everything but it is something, not nothing. If you tell me, money is nothing, I will assume you have plenty of it not that you mean, money is worthless. Money is so crucial that somebody had to sell "a whole" Jesus, so as to have some cash. And what will Judas do or did with the money? He probably bought food, clothes, jewelries, drinks, etc
