The second I could trust,
we met up on a whim.

His hands in mine,
I felt a second gust of wind.
Propelling us towards the sky,
up, up, and away from your sins.

Secondhand sadness, confusion, and fear,
I tried so hard just to see you clear.
Secondhand wonder, amazement, and cheer,
we'll celebrate hard when you're no longer near.

Secondhand love,
I felt with him.
No longer sad,
no longer living in fear.
