The passing of day to day
Seeing life in movement
With everyone going separate ways
Everyone's life in motion
Some days you feel like you're going under
But it's at this moment, I wonder
Is everyone else drowning
Is everyone else dying
My world is just my own
But do others spend nights crying
Do you have happy days
Is he going to stop drinking
Did that mother get to see her kids
Only for time to pass as fast as blinking
Is her brother hooked on drugs
Is she fighting for her life
In an abusive relationship day and night
Is he homeless after fighting for his country
Is she empty inside
Even though her life has plenty
Sonder, a peculiar feeling
Knowing, even though your life passes
And complications ensue
That someone else's life
Is just as complicated as you
