I open my eyes and think to myself about my journey in this life so far. All the times I felt like giving up but took a step back, prayed, made duaa to Allah, and kept it moving. There are so many ups and downs like a never-ending roller coaster. Supported by all my loved ones who held my hand and guided me through the darkness. Listening to the rhythm of my heartbeat to keep me steady as I tread the waters. Allowing my dreams to take hold and push me to finish each test I face in this life. Smiling as I conquer all of my fears and hold on to my heart. I’m the type to follow my heart but take my brain with me. I don’t look at the cup as half empty but half full. I got sunshine on a cloudy day. I don’t have to say “rain rain go away, come again another day” I’m fine. I let inspiration flow through my veins so I don’t lose myself in the face of adversity. I have confidence in my heart and soul it is the essence of who I am inside and out. They say dreams come true when you believe. Well, I believe in myself. That’s the key to my dreams coming true. I’ve molded myself into who I need to be, not who I want to be. Alhamdulillah, I may not have been blessed with what I want, but I’ve always been blessed with what I need. I’ve shifted my focus from my desires to my necessities. That’s all that I’m after!
