Oh, Wasn't it just yesterday when you got scared of the darkness?
And in that dim light you were calmed after finding me beside you.
How scared would you be in this dark world that made you seek comfort even in my scary darkness.
I listened about all of your fears,
It ached my heart to see you in tears.
Years went by as you got more used to walk without the light,
Now I see you forging your own way towards the light.
To tell you the truth it's me who's scared now,
Isn't it's the time when I'll see you for the last time?
The room filled with the light where there'll be no place for me to hide,
but in the end that's the fate of mine.
Even when I won't be there,
I know that you will not be scared.
I am glad to see you grow so tall that
now you're reaching towards the stars.
Whenever you'll shine,
I'll smile wide, with you or without you
I am always proud to see you grow.
