Polaroid skies
I collect sunsets in photographs
By the click of the button, the shades if blue, purple and pink are mine,
I collect my memories and thoughts in poems that I sometimes attempt to rhyme.
Because I'm afraid to say the words, afraid and terrified.
I hope the pictures will last forever.
Anything I don't say say through my words, I hope to rember through wispy clouds.
It's my own inside joke.
My own memory lane.
And as weird as it sounds, the habit often keeps me sane.
For I cannot control the words flown at me as much as I control the words I write down.
But eventually I have to stop taking pictures and live the life in front of me.
I have to say the words instead of writing them on paper.
Because no one will love me through a photograph.
