LETTER TO MY SON
Son,
I know this finds us too late,
We lost track of time,
Now I'm buried in sorrow that I saw all this coming but hesitated to confront you,
I was afraid of losing you,
I thought if I did, I would never hear you knock at my door each night from where only God knows just to say goodnight,
I remember how most times I would just assume your knock just to listen you say,
"Mum, I know you can hear me, goodnight".
Our connection was awesome that I thought giving you time would help you realize how much you meant to me and you came out clean,
How you would come sit next to me and let all your negative side...
