Every soul that passes the gate,
has passed a test of fate,
Trudging along on tired feet,
Almost there, refusing to be beat

Ready to defy,
known threat, foe and ally
Mounting trouble battleship
Trusting faith through hardship

Yet, at every turn lies a fork
Raddled like a caged stork,
that never gives in
Hope the reason for living

Drowning in obstacle
Ridiculed, made a spectacle
Friends and bloodline deserted
By perseverance comforted

While awaiting the beam,
of dawn flowing like a stream
Redeeming light cutting through,
oppressions veil to subdue

Unbowed as a victorious king
Who despite everything,
against all odds prevails
Passing the gate,endurance exhales.
