What is the color of your flag?
Isn't it black, yellow and red?

The pride in the melanin of our skin
Will soon shine out - yellow
I remember you chose this to symbolize
the abundant sunshine, or the light over our dreams to keep strong the brotherhood of the black Africans- red
The blood that flows in African veins like the nationalistic spirit to cherish the natural beauty of Africa .

Uganda the pearl of Africa,
The heart of Africa'
Carried by the crown of a crested Crane
Symbolising grace, beauty and freedom '
I'm still searching for because it has already faded in what we call 'democracy'
Responding to the backside of the truth
Drifting away from the intended path

Of freedom that still pleads
In the depths of our hearts to be released
from the slavery of opinions '
Of those who claim having given us independence but still control us in their own games,
Making us feel the freedom of our bodies released from canes
But still...
