The woodstove is steaming
Pots and pans are hanging
Aromas of pasta and zucchini
While Grandma goes a clanging.

Pots and pans are heating
Aromas of apples and cinnamon
The time is beating
Until dinner time has come.

Grandma's exhausted and dinner is ready
No one's around, they are a bit tardy
She sets the table with plates and glasses
While the young uns' come back from outdoors and classes.

Time to eat, please wash your hands
