Suffocate
The darkness calms the storm within,
As the moon cradles my silent scream.
In solace found, the night unveils,
A peace I seek where dreaming prevails.
No ear can catch the whisper of sorrow,
So I pour my heart into this poem’s flow.
It’s suffocating, to the point I crave slumber,
As the world around me drags me under.
My existence chokes my silent scream,
In this deep trench, I find my dream,
Where peace resides in a lonely sphere,
And dreams embrace my quiet fear.
Walls rise high where I don’t belong,
Eyes that shatter my fragile epilogue.
Isolation grows within, peace feels long,
Acceptance and friendship a hope prolonged,
Yet these can never be my tale's prologue.
This tale I write with ink,
Each page reveals the link I think.
Where dreams and visions make me blink,
Though hardships loom, I force a smile.
Yet in this distance, my hopes may sink,
For I’m not the one that fits your ink.
