Wise as an owl
In the depth of the night
I stood on the roof, sighs in my heart
And I caught sight of the majestic flight
No sound, no wind, no indication still
She flew in the blink of an eye
An entire sky, pace of light
Sat infront of me, spreading her wings
As if to ask .. why do you sigh still ..
Spread your wings, soar up high
Hunt your prey, fly with might .
Soundless, fearless, phantom like ..
Stunning , elusive , beautifully alive
Felt most alive and stunned at sight
Meeting the magnificient owls enflight..
Needless to say, life's shown many days
But nights have always calmed my heart
As I remembered the controlled power
Of the winged predator,
Ruling the skies with each flight
Turning round to see the world
With all seeing piercing eyes.. as if to say
Fear not.. like I Own the nights
You Own the day ..
