Certainly wins me a parade
A trophy, a certificate, a ribbon
For goodness sake
Someone has to take this rank
I just happen to consistently
Be the winner of last place
Does that make me a winner
Or am I again the loser
Others come first
Attention to them
Time spent focus given
It's exhausting being
The hardworking winner
But always coming in last
I could happily ask
For someone else
To take up the spot called last
And it be in my past
