Moved so much by things so small
Can't tell the path on which I'll fall
My senses are eroded but such is life
We age and we lose and we lose when we fight

I can't remain still as this crooked ship rocks
I can't have seen it all since it all still shocks
My knees seem to shake at the sight of change
The clock always ticks but I'm stuck in my age

This heavy wind blows; I can't catch my breath
I'm drowning in the air as I tally my debt
I take and I take but I can't get my fill
So here's another breath to add to the hill

This winding road that only gets steeper
Demands that I walk it and not a step cheaper
If I decide to stop, I'll be marked a sinner
Is it so bad that I choose how to wither?
