In the midst of chaos and despair,
When hurt and pain seem so unfair,
I search for a way to move forward,
To leave behind all that has tortured.
The path to forgiveness seems unclear,
As wounds still linger, full of fear,
But deep down I know there must be,
Some other way to set my heart free.
Some other way to break through,
The barriers that hold me true,
To rise above the crowd of doubt,
And release the pain that screams and shouts.
I long to enter the gates of your heaven,
But the weight of transgression threatens,
I plead for a chance to delete,
All that caused our love to deplete.
No longer do I want to dwell,
In the shadows of anger and hell,
For there must be some other way,
To find peace and heal from the fray.
Maybe it's through acts of kindness,
Or holding each other in forgiveness,
Or simply letting go of the past,
And embracing a love that will last.
Some other way to let go,
Of the hurt and learn to grow,
To rise above the storms of pain,
And reach a higher ground again.
Perhaps it's through a poem or song,
That I can find a way to move on,
Or through the grace of a forgiving heart,
That I can make a brand new start.
Whatever it may be, I'll hold on tight,
And keep searching with all my might,
For there must be some other way,
To find peace and love each day.
So I'll keep moving, step by step,
With determination and no regret,
For I believe that someday I'll see,
The other way to set my spirit free.
And when I do, I'll look back and say,
I'm grateful for the journey on this way,
For it has taught me to be strong,
And shown me where I truly belong.
So I'll keep striving, through the pain,
Believing that there's so much to gain,
For there must be some other way,
To move forward and find my way.
