It's been ages
since I turned over your loves pages
Dust settling over them clouding my vision
Caressing the pages I clear the dust for some reason
Hopes shattered like some stained old glass
Memories tainted with my tears while days pass
That wrinkled rose speaks of our love from inside the pages
Counting the petals as I sit by the book it's been ages
Slowly I feel the dust embedding my heart
