Realist
Looking back, it was obvious you weren’t home
Rang the bell, should’ve known you wouldn’t come

Saw you hiding from the window,
Avoiding me like I’m selling internet
But I was only there to let you go

About this weekend, would you mind if I went alone?
How do I say this, but I’d rather not anyone know.

Perhaps you were a mistake,
Clearly you seem to think so too
but you seem to want a heartbreak

I suspect the feeling’s mutual
But you won’t look at my face
It’s not about getting hitched or having kids,
I’m not in a race
I just wish you’d be a realist.

I realize now, that you’re only here for having fun
which is fine for you, but for me there has been none.

And it’s not because of you
I was just hoping you could lend a hand
So maybe I could have fun too

Eat alone, when you said you’d come and stay
if you couldn’t it’s fine, but I don’t know where you are today.

Left me Lost in a forrest, like an abandoned cub
with a wildfire closing in
you really didn’t understand love

I suspect the feeling’s mutual
But you won’t look at my face
It’s not about getting hitched or having kids,
I’m not in a race
I just wish you’d be a realist.
