Golden delight spread thickly over the skies and sea like butter on toast,
Egg nog and latte spilt over the landscape with a biscotti to finish,
Precious warmth and light illuminate me from within, a torch ablaze,
You make me want to greet you warmly and smile till it melts all my bad days.

Intense like the lighthouse beam that scans the water for poor souls,
Powerful as a God that rides his chariot of flaming horses through the sky,
Oyster and sandcastle shades of your love on sandy beaches bleached,
Expunging the dark from every crevice that you've lovingly reached.

Shortbread and macaroon wait at the tan table with granola overtones,
As I look out to sea and watch the cloth of water shimmer in the breeze,
Hazel wood trees whisper your praises as daffodils and buttercups dance,
You inspire merriment and wonder if the bothersome clouds give you chance.

You're the parmesan topping on my day with your generous sprinkle of sun,
The joyful embodiment of universal wonder breathing life into nature,
As I sit under the magnolia tree you bounce about reflecting off water,
I'm enchanted by your magical colours and all the fantastic thoughts they stir.
