'Believing'
A moment
In the outer space:
We were two
Away from the human view
Two little spots of consciousness
Surrounded by darkness
You were closer to the station
Wired to a robotic hand
And watched by a
Nonsense mechanical eye
I was even beyond them
Obstructed by
The station's slender stem
I had to pick up
A little piece of the moon
That apparently hung nearby

You stretched your arm
I could see only your eyes
Safe beyond the spaceman's glass
I sensed a smile
And stretched for the moon rock
Shining brightly
In that vast unconsciousness
