For every tear that I have shed
The pain they did release...
Relinquished my grasp of what's to be
To finally be at peace...

Can I survive all these heartbreaks
And keep an open heart?
My mind says no that I cannot
For this would make me smart...

My soul speaks out and says to me
But you have come so far...
Don't let the blocks that others have
Within you leave a scar...

If I closed up then I would lose
All that I am meant to be...
There is no soul on this green earth
I give such power over me...

I straighten up and wipe my tears
And tell my brain that it's okay...
Remember all we have been through
We'll live to love another day...
