The Voter Went Down to Georgia

The voter went down to Georgia.
He was lookin’ for a race to steal.
He was in a bind
And he was so inclined
To go and be a fifth wheel

When he came across a Georgian
Minding his business and deep in thought
And the voter poked him on the shoulder
And said boy I'm who you sought

I guess you didn't know it
But I'm a legal voter too
And if you care, to show me where
I'll register just like you

Now you registered in Georgia
But give the Voter his due
I'll vote in Georgia to skew the vote
Cause I think I'm better than you.

The boy said I'm a Georgian
And we all may not agree
But I'll fight your threat
Cause you're gonna regret
Cheating the land of the free

Georgia gather up your guard
And watch your borders close
Cause voters are coming from other states
To step all on your toes

When he finished calling

Just know and hear, we do not fear
When others threaten us

Cheaters coming in our state
Trying to decide our fate
No one knows how far its gone
Cheating votes go on and on

The voter gave up his lease
And moved back to his state
And he left Georgia to the boy
To designate it's fate

The Georgian said just come on back
If you ever want to vote and stay
I done told you once, you Georgia Not
That cheating doesn't pay
