A Father into Hindoosthan
Who ever knew the sun would set and rise over the moon,
deep thoughts galore, her eyes had told, all thoughts that she behold!
before she wander out again and set sail to a land
far away than Hindoosthan and for that she'll hold my hand
her eyes were soft and blue, with meaning long to hold
and as then I get old.

Now she'll go to Hindoosthan-- a land so far away
from princes dressed in tiger cloaks, to diamonds that can curse
that magic land of Hindoostham was right wats on my purse

she's big enough to fly on her own, without her old man there,
and that good sight I must behold, before I turn to thin air
