Paradox
Holier than thou
Her shit didn’t stink
Metallica sweat
After 3 hours on stage
Perfume
She would say
The preacher’s daughter
Preaching deception
And deification
A maelstrom of chaos
Lying to herself
And believing it
A labyrinth of mythomania
But such a pretty face
And wow what a body
Am I so shallow
A reflection in a rain puddle
Short-lived
Torn between
Scylla and Charybdis
On stormy seas
Looking for the lighthouse
Did I beach myself
Am I drawn to the bedlam
The turbulence
A kind of pulchritudinous
And a juxtaposition
To my calm waters
Can I save her
I surely wished too
Are wishes
Ever enough
Like throwing Bait
On a lake empty of fish
Is the Princess
Even for saving
Is this arrogance
Me even suggesting
Have I become the paradox
A contradiction
An abundance of Love
Spent on a lost cause
Bad economics
And a poor investment
With zero returns
Other than heartbreak
And bad memories
The spreadsheet
Not adding up
Yet still, I betrothed
Begging the question
Is it I that should be
Committed
