Drowning

Everyday I'm drowning deeper and deeper
Darkness is just beneath me like a creeper
Dread eating me from within
Making me believe my whole life was a sin
My happy thoughts all denied
My heart and soul slowly died
I may be here in flesh and blood
But know my mind overflows like a flood
Words of doubt, distress and hate
Death is just fate
But for many others just like me
We all just want to be free
So let it go and dive right in
A whole different life about to begin
Up in the sky we'll all look down
As people like me and you slowly drown.
