I am Philippines
Do you see what I see?
Do you hear what I hear?
This is Philippines, a country that's free.
It's compose of various islands wherein anyone could sightseer.

People here are very humble.
We would gladly welcome even though we'd fumble,
Cuz in our blood it naturally runs,
That we are born as generous daughters and sons.

Just say po, opo, mahal kita and salamat po,
We'd already appreciate your gentleness.
Just show us your tenderness and kindness,
And we'd shower you with hugs, laughter and so.

We're known to be a country of happiness.
We smile and laugh even though we're broke.
When typhoon strikes and flash flood arises,
We Filipinos are still able to joke.

Our katutubo believe in a lot of things.
There's this that when you're departing and sees a black cat,
Don't leave anymore and just return to your habitat.
Cuz this could mean that there's something negative out there silently waiting.

Moreover, Philippines is known to have various dishes that can make you swoon.
Some consume taho in the morning,
Take kare-kare or adobo in the afternoon,
And halo-halo or balot as dessert and snack after eating.

We also have lots of wonderful traditions.
One of which is eating noodles on your birthday.
Why do we do so might be one of your questions,
We'd gladly say noodles means long life when you eat it on your special day.

Seven Wonders, to which our country keeps on call,
A stair looking plantation created by the Ifugaos,
A hills that turns into chocolate-like located in Bohol,
Or our well-known active volcano in Albay due to its perfect cone shape - I avowed.

I'm so glad and thankful,
That I'm a Filipino citizen.
Even though I'm a half-blood, I'm already too grateful,
That I was born in this world of innocence.
