Last days
I yearn for the mornings
When you would come to me
And make me breakfast,
Whilst singing with glee.

You may be old,
But your vigour's as ever
70 running and still so bold
How I miss you, grandmother.

Your gospel piano tunes
Resonate in my ears
Your soft touch on each key
Stays with me throughout these years.

How you'd hug me
Your heart so close to mine
And the love you showed me
Are now in memory, yet so divine.

Not a day passes by I don't miss you
Since we lost you years before
But the hope that you've moved on
Gives me joy evermore.
