Your Growing Absence - 03/02/24
In that darkness, I wander alone,
Heart shattered, spirit overthrown,
Fate's cruel twist, left me to mourn,
Why did you leave me so forlorn?
In one fleeting moment, all was gone,
Leaving me incomplete, undone,
What was my fault, I ask in despair,
To deserve such punishment unfair.
Where everything I had went astray,
My broken soul will forever stay,
Standing, waiting, at the edge of despair,
Struggling to breathe in this heavy air,
With shattered dreams and silent screams,
My existence will slowly fade to darkness it seems,
In this desolate void, I am bound to roam,
All alone with the fragments of memories,
Where I was happy, colorful, now washed in gray,
Days go by In sorrow's grip, my soul confined,
Night is tied to tears, and to let it out what I hide,
Amidst the wreckage of what was once mine,
In fading recollections, I search for light,
But darkness consumes, obscuring all sight,
Silent cries echo through the endless days,
Lost in this void where love slowly decays,
Pain, loneliness and your absence grow.
