Solitude's Silent Symphony
On the porch, I sit alone,
Wind whispers, through hair it's flown.
Ducks dance in the pond so fair,
Yet, I'm lost in a world of despair.

Life spins around, but I stand still,
Mere spectator, against my will.
In the motions, I navigate,
Yet, in waiting, I contemplate.

Dreams weave a hopeful thread,
Yearning for the day you tread.
Nothing matters, not a plea,
Can't they fathom, it's you I see?

Avoiding outings, shunning fun,
All on hold until you're the one.
I yearn for the final run,
Until then, my soul is undone.

Summer took you, fall winds chill,
Winter looms, time to distill.
Each season a painful mark,
Echoes of your absence, stark.

Behind my smile, tears cascade,
A secret sorrow, in shadows laid.
In this world without you, I roam,
But my grief, I keep at home.

Pretense plays on life's grand stage,
Yet, I cry for you, my heart's gauge.
Silent tears, a daily fray,
In the act, I lose my way.
