Flight of The Hawk
#WhisperingNature
Drip drop, drip drop
The rain weighs on the leaves
As if to mimic
The cabins dripping eaves
It awakens
The eye of the hawk
A mere hatchling
Who nature once forgot
But the hawkling defies
Deaths persistent quest
To steal the one
Who fell from the nest
The little beast chirps
Loud and strong
Not out of fear
But a triumphant song
Its will to live
Is heard far and wide
And so the water
Acts as its guide
The feathered wanderer
Sets sail 'pon the spring
On just a piece of bark
Placed there by a tree
Pines creak and groan
As the hawkling passes
Applauding its aptitude
For taking on...
