My heart is smiling , a smile so foreign
That I do not recognize it
See after years of only knowing the forced facial version of this expression,
It’s as though a weight has been lifted
And gifted me a feeling unparalleled
With every inhale, I take in your fragrance
And exhale emotions that lay dormant
I planted a seed in what I know is blessed grounds
And am amazed by the way it has flourished
