Killing Humanity
I find it disturbing
upsetting actually
that throughout the world
billions of currencies
are spent on wars
yet
there are wars -
wars of poverty, homelessness, despair
people don't have necessities
no food
no shelter
no hope in a world of fear
no sense of belonging at all
yet, there's billions in currencies spent
to obliterate human beings
I struggle
with that concept..
struggle with it all
what progress
has mankind made
when we invest in war
technology
yeah, we have the latest phone's
heads down
eyes don't see
what war is doing
to innocent families
what I ask, what advancement's been made
when the course of humanity
is in the hands of greed
for billions
more than they'd ever need
yet still wanting more, more, more, more
how much more do they want
to make a name for themselves
for THEMSELVES
investing in war
while killing humanity
killing
HUMANITY...
