What is wrong with a society thats not involved
With the world we're all living on
I cannot condone
Us kicking our problems up under the rug
All because
Its got a hefty cost
its very much worth the loss
Yet there is so much allowed to be going wrong
And its not even against the law
I guess since its not a theft of property
Or a profit to be sought
Exploiting those in poverty
Pointing fingers like theyre the cause
Of whatever issues that gets viewed
Worthy enough to be covered on
The news, that will choose to misconstrue
The truth, supporting agendas of whoever owns
The rights to decide
of whatever meets the eyes
of the reporter speaking off of a teleprompter
Never bothering to wonder if it's wrong
Potentially fabricated
to the point of imagination
Lockin us in a mental detained
form of enslavement
Expected to take it
Ot else be forsaken
You cant even fake it
Its Implicated of brains which the space
of intellect happens to be vacant
I cant help but hate it
That dont make me crazy
questioning the motives
Of those in the position
that liers tend to exist in
Benefiting from their intentions
Robbing us blind of our ambitions
smothering our intuition,
Basically charging us for the expenses accrued
Through common sense demolition
Deception is a weapon utilizing information ammunition
They're so good at it
they can trick us into giving up our defences
And have us thinking that we're the enemy threatening every life living
That is wicked
we cannot keep letting
Our obsessions with material possession
Suppress every powerful message
That goes against the world that we were born in
Conforming to what seemed to be the norm
when those before us
were already ignoring
What is truly important
Supporting uses of time, effort, and resources
That warrent everyone doing nothing about it
Being punished for it
Ill accept my punishment
Since I admit
for most of my life
Ive been a part of it
I chose not to get, out of it, until only
Recently, when the weight of it
hit me with such force
I felt I was slapped in the face by a wall of bricks
Im telling you now
im going to do something even if I die
and it's for all our kids
They deserve better than this
Having to live
In a world so ravaged and trashed within
A matrix of lies, malice, and avarice to no ends
Im making it my life mission that it must end
Taking advantage of every opportunity to discuss it
Even if I leave others because of cognitive dissonance, disgusted
This world is encumbered by so much not worth being prioritized
its redundant
Think about this
If we tell our kids to do their homework and chores before they get their fun and games
Then why do we spend so much of our time entertained
When most problems that exist can actually be done away with
Only as long as we get over disassociating
From reality and snap back to reality
Learn to be ok with
doing what needs to be done
Even if its difficult and not directly affecting us
As intelligent beings
We're responsible for everyone
Otherwise we must admit that we're
Narcissists
I just have to be your poetic, reactive friend
Pointing out what needs pointed out
Regardless if its hard to grip
Intellect is not dependent on education
Its based on where you choose to put
Your attention and knowledge in
Recognizing what it really is
