One question,why do we lock our doors?
For relief,safety, calmness...
Belief in a greater force...
Protection from evils so scandalous?

Or is it to escape...
Into another realm of existence...
From one where ideas are sent to the grave...
No need for the assistance...

Maybe it's to hold back...
Outbursts of rage and frustration...
Only to release it when the day turns black...
A long time is the duration...

The mind contains many doors...
And there are many keys of which to open them...
But they're not found in a store...
Except in a place many people condemn...

Why do we lock our doors?
I ask,but one more time...
Before I'm swept off the floor...
A question worth more than a dime...
