A hole consumed with despair
a depth undescribable, I swear.
Looking up all I could do was stare,
all of these circumstances didn't seem fair,
I tried so hard to care.
Could I be helped with a few prayers?
In this empty void, alone I couldn't repair.
An ocean of emotions collided,
painfully aware.
My plastic exterior shattered, finally bare,
light enough to feel the air.
A future blinding & bright,
Self-doubt hides in the shadows
ready to bite.
Mean & serene wont win this fight.
Simplicity, a tunnel where
the end has a light.
Accepting situations as they are,
even in spite.
Happiness will come in many forms & unite,
I don't always have to be right.
Terrified of what's inside, so I just shove,
It is nothing like I thought, nor anything of.
Couldnt stand my own skin,
it now fits like a glove,
The sun will rise again, a new outlook above.
Perhaps a new way to fall in love,
Finally at ease & free as a dove.
