My life is an open book,
That led me through every nook,
And every corner of discovery,
Of life's long journey.

My life is an open book,
That helped me see and helped me look,
I found my friends and I found my heart,
I thank you for this new start.

My life is an open book,
My mum taught me how to cook,
My dad taught me the importance of songs,
They both taught me rights and wrongs.

My life is an open book,
I remember reading about Captain Hook,
Wishing I was Peter Pan or one of the boys,
Whilst snuggled in bed with my soft toys.

My life is an open book,
If you choose to read it or get attached,
Look after it well and learn from the past.
