Apology
In awe of your radiant grace, I stand,
Yet my actions veered into a murky land,
Regret consumes me, for I did not see,
The folly that unfolded in my plea.

Shame taints my thoughts, a burden to bear,
That unsettling message, devoid of care,
Intoxication fueled my misguided way,
Oh, how I long to rewind yesterday.

Now, I yearn to right the wrongs I've sewn,
An apology, a humble plea I've grown,
Let us mend the fractures, dear friend,
With sincere remorse, my heart does fend.

Forgive these drunken disturbances, I pray,
Reclaiming mistakes I made in dismay,
May our bond remain strong, undeterred,
With newfound clarity, my soul is spurred.
