What a cold blooded thing a reptile must be.
Stalks its victims, before launching its vicious attack.
Lures them into a falce sence of security.
Then launch their attack with all their venom and fury.
And if they miss and don't get their quarry.
They retreat to their den till the can launch another, cold calculated attack.
Always watching always listening, their senses so sharp they will cut you down,
with a speed and accuracy most holy.
With their razor sharp teeth or venomous fangs.
Cold blooded by nature, they don't suckle their young
Leave them with strangers or to fend for themselves.
One good meal will do them for ages.
Very particular about what they eat, but meat is always very important.
So mean and vicious in their self important position.
That they can only socialise with other reptiles that scorn them.
Their whole lifestyle is repetitive and boring.
Their hunting ground depends on who's Innocent and vulnerable.
But leave it to the snake charmer with his musical horn.
He can lead the most venomous on a merry intricate dance.
Whatever it is about the piper and his music.
The most dangerous of all cannot resist his natural charm.
The Black Adder of course is a different kind of snake.
A black and tan that makes its victim suffer, before they die slowly of its weaker but most toxic venom.
And the Black Mamba is designed to kill.
Poised to strike at anything, that gets in the cross hairs of its black snake eyes.
