Death
Oh Death, mysterious and profound,
In shadows veiled, your presence is found.
A letter now I pen, with trembling hand,
To ponder on the nature of life's final strand.

Though feared by many, you are not my foe,
For in your embrace, all mortals must go.
A silent guide, leading souls to the unknown,
Through valleys dark, where mysteries are sown.

You bring closure to the tales we've spun,
An end to races we've valiantly run.
In your embrace, secrets are revealed,
As life's illusions slowly are unsealed.

But Death, I ask, what lies beyond your door?
Is it oblivion, or something more?
Do souls find solace in eternal rest,
Or embark on journeys, yet to be guessed?

Perhaps you hold the answers, untold,
To questions that haunt both young and old.
Yet, in the face of your inevitable call,
We find the courage to cherish life's thrall.

So, Death, I greet you with a curious mind,
Embracing the unknown, though undefined.
For in your enigmatic, silent breath,
We find the essence of our mortal depth.
